About Me

I am a very simple person.  I don't need a lot of fancy things.  Now don't get me wrong....I am female, so I do love to shop, its just that I don't need lots of stuff.  As long as I have my God and my family, I am happy. I love all my family-not just my immediate family.  There are the friends I consider family, my family of believers in Christ,  and my church family.

On March 27, 1999 I married Travis and he truly is the love of my life.  God truly blessed me when he brought us together.  He is a wonderful husband and father.  If you know me very well, then you know I am a very emotional person.  I cry so easily and over the least little things.  I cry tears of sadness, anger,  and joy!!!  It's ok, I can admit I am a "sap" because I know that God made me this way for a reason.  None of His works are by accident.  The word says He knows every hair on my head, and I guess He know every tear too!

I have 5 children - 3 of which I gave birth to and 2 that God has allowed me to be a part of their life, to love and cherish like my very own.  They all have equal places in my heart.  I love them, cry with them, worry over them, and pray for them the same.

In my spare time (oh yeah, right..lol) as a stay at home mom I love to read.  I also love music.  It plays somewhere in my house almost nonstop....even when we are sleeping.  I truly believe that God speaks to me through lyrics.  Certain songs seem to touch my heart.  I realize they are saying something that I so desperately needed to hear...or that someone I know needs to hear!!  I also love to sign worship songs.  It is such an amazing form of worship for me.  I am "self taught" basically except for some help from some very dear friends in VA.  I want to continue to learn more and more...  Sometimes the spirit will come over me and I will end up on my knees and never finish signing the song.  God is amazing!!

I went to school to teach because it has been what I wanted to do ever since I was a little girl.  I don't teach in an official classroom, but I do home school my two youngest children.  I also try and take any opportunity to teach others around me.  It is a wonderful feeling to the face of child when the understand something new. 

What else do I like to do?  I enjoy being with my family and friends.  I love to do things outdoors...we explore the woods, ride bikes and I love to run.  That is my newest hobby.  Just recently I completed my first 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles)....and I was AWESOME!  I don't get to run much in the winter, but look out when spring comes!  Well, I guess I have rambled on enough about me!!!

My daily prayer is for God to use someone ordinary like me to do something extraordinary for HIS GLORY!  Be blessed......
